Ay, patay.

Pagkatapos kong basahin yung summary, naisip ko yan. Kasi duhh, war na ituuu.

Super cute ng first meeting nina Regina at Ben. Hindi ko rin akalaing may isusulat pala si Ben sa coffee cup. Actually, pwedeng commercial ng coffee yung eksenang yun. #ideas

Sa review ko ng Blast From Two Pasts, sinabi ko na:

Siguro yun yung gusto ko sa mga stories na Filipino authors yung sumulat – kasi dahil kapwa mo pinoy, yung feels mas familiar. Mas tagos sa puso. MAS KILIG. Kahit pa foreign setting eh, parang nakikilala mo lang talaga kapag pinoy yung sumulat. Eh Philippine setting ang book na’to, so mas relate. Basta ang ganda. Basta yun na yun. FEEEELS.

Totoo rin yan dito. Pa’no kasi, nakakatuwa na parang kiliti yung kilig – sapul eh. Huling-huli. Kaya ang bilis ding basahin. Tapos mega relate nga. Lalo na ‘to. Pa’no kasi feeling ko nangyari na sa’kin. Pero similar case lang naman. 😉

Gusto ko rito yung effort in many forms. Sa lahat ng relationship, mahalaga talaga yung effort eh. At nakakatuwang basahin yung mga ginawa nina Regina, Ben, at Lana para sa mga taong mahal nila.

Pero ‘wag nating kalimutan si Paulo. Sobrang havey niya. Sa kanya galing yung best quote ng book. Feeling ko yung next story bida na siya. :))))

Best part ng book? Yung namulat sa katotohanan si Regina. Napakalaki niya kayang martir. Parang obligasyon niyang maging masaya lahat ng tao. Feeling proud naman ako nung nagdesisyon siyang ipaglaban ang dapat niyang ipaglaban. Idol ko na siya. Medyo martir din kasi ako. Kaya tumatak sa’kin yung sinabi ni Paulo.

Pero hindi lang yan. Kasi ang medyo kakaiba rito sa book, halos lahat ng characters, mabait. Yung Kuya Guard, mabait. Mga kamag-anak, mabait. Mga side characters with important roles, mabait. May isang girl na chena lang pero ‘wag na nating pag-usapan yun. Ang cute lang kasi na ang daming mabait, hihi. 🙂

Ay meron pa pala. Sobrang passionate ng mga tao sa book na ‘to. Mapa-sports, photography, cooking…basta. Iba talaga ‘pag mahal mo yung trabaho mo.

Binasa ko ‘to habang pinapakinggan ang isang acoustic cover ng Sparks Fly. Pwedeng theme song. Magandang ideya.

Uulitin ko rito yung nilagay ko sa English version, kasi hindi ko ma-translate ‘to at feeling ko yung thought na-capture talaga.

When sparks fly, drop everything now and live in the moment. It’s not every day life gives you fireworks. ❤
