Random Reaction from an Anon

An Important Note: These reactions are shared by real people–and as a talk show would put it: The views and opinions of these people do not necessarily state or reflect my own.

How would you define book discrimination?

I usually think that a reader discriminates a certain book when; let’s say she’s a white and the protagonist of the book is a black and/or he/she is against LGBT books because it looks immoral.

How do you feel about it?

Readers have their freedom to choose what they wanted to read or not but there are some instances that theyre judging the book just because of simple reasons.

What do you think is the cause of book discrimination?

The way the society reflect upon us. We perceive and/or imitate what the society molded us.

What would you do against it?

Just like a person, giving a chance or even second chance; why don’t you try it in books? Give them a chance to love and be loved by you.

Fill in the blanks. More people should read ________ by ________ because ________.

More people should read My Name is Memory by Ann Brashares because I’d like people to see they’re faces reading an open ended novel.
