An Important Note: These reactions are shared by real people–and as a talk show would put it: The views and opinions of these people do not necessarily state or reflect my own.
How would you define book discrimination?
In my opinion, I think book discrimination is just like a normal discrimination instead it goes for books. It’s like shutting out a book without it being talked about properly. It is a prejudiced treatment for a book. It is the practice of unfairly treating books differently from other books.
How do you feel about it?
It feels sad knowing that books are being discriminated and that these things do happen in our society today.
What do you think is the cause of book discrimination?
I think there is discrimination when people judge a book by it’s cover or when people shut things books out even though they haven’t read it. Everyone is entitled to their own opinion but if you haven’t read something and you judged it already? That is a no-no.
What would you do against it?
I would raise awareness that book discrimination does happen and I wouldn’t do it myself. After all, do something that starts with yourself first then the others.
